Alfa Romeo has unveiled the final variant of its Giulietta hatch before it goes out of production, with the limited run Edizione Finale available to order now for $48,950 plus on road costs.
Only 35 will make it to Australia.
Based on the Veloce variant, the Edizione Finale adds $6000 to the price but, as well as its exclusivity, also adds yellow-painted brake calipers, yellow external trim inserts, a Magneti Marelli ‘Elaborazioni 1919’ sport exhaust system, carbon style front trilobe grille, side skirts and mirror covers and dark miron 18” wheels and electric sunroof.
It can be had with Alfa White, Anodized Blue and Magnesium Grey Matte paint.
Interior features include a leather-trimmed steering wheel, exclusive floor mats with yellow stitching, and heated electric front leather seats.
It shares the same 177kW 1.8-litre turbo petrol engine, paired to a twin dry clutch semi-automatic transmission.
The first Giulietta arrived at the 1954 Turin Motor Show as a two-door coupe, before the name was revived in 2010 and applied to the current five-door hatch.
Alfa Romeo marketing communications director Tom Noble said the limited edition was a fitting tribute.
“The Edizione Finale celebrates the true Italian flair the Giulietta is renowned for, with sporty special edition updates that will make this a unique collector’s item for Alfa Romeo enthusiasts or those searching for a distinctive, rare vehicle,” he said.
