Maps show how each county is voting – Daily News

Polls have closed in the election to decide whether California Gov. Gavin Newsom should be recalled from office.

Counties are now reporting results, and the process will continue for seven days as elections officials finish counting eligible mail-in ballots. But by 9 p.m. on election night, the margins were so far in Newsom’s favor that The Associated Press and other media organizations called the race, saying the governor would stay in office.

There were two questions on the ballot. One: Should Newsom be removed from office? Two: If he is removed, who should replace him? If more than 50% of voters had said yes to question one, then the candidate with the most votes on question two would have become governor.
