Married At First Sight’s Patrick Dwyer FAINTED after his first Covid jab and shares a photo of himself looking worse for wear in a hospital bed
Married At First Sight star Patrick Dwyer didn’t exactly take his Covid jab well.
On Tuesday, the personal trainer, 27, revealed that he actually fainted after receiving his first vaccination.
‘Thank you to the amazing nurses who gave me jelly beans and transported me by wheelchair’ he wrote, alongside a photo of himself recovering in hospital.
Whoops: Patrick Dwyer, 27, (pictured) revealed he actually fainted after receiving his first Covid vaccination,
There is no link between Covid vaccines and fainting, with the cause more likely to be needle phobia, which affects 22 percent of patients according to a study by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
A common symptom is fainting when receiving an injection.
The incident occurred after Dwyer sparked rumours of a romance with former co-star Jo Todd on Monday.
He shared a sweet photo of the pair on Instagram, adding a number of love hearts to the photograph.
Beaming in the photo, Patrick nestled closely to the bubbly blonde barber.
Just friends? The incident occurred just one day after the Married At First Sight star denied a new romance with his co-star Jo Todd after sharing a very cosy selfie of the pair
But the personal trainer denied the pair were an item when contacted by Daily Mail Australia.
Patrick ended his relationship with Belinda Vickers earlier this year after the couple found love together on the series.
They abruptly called it quits in July after nine months together.
In a statement, Patrick wrote: ‘We would like to address the rumours of our split and confirm we have gone our separate ways.’
‘We have enjoyed a relationship together for over nine months; however, we do not want the same things in love and life.
‘We appreciate all the love and support we have received through our journey.’

Belinda shared an identical statement to her own Instagram account and told Who magazine that splitting up ‘wasn’t an easy decision’ to make.
She explained that while the pair had always been a ‘team’, it became apparent they didn’t have the same ‘family goals’.
‘We tried to work through it and talk about what we could do about our differences, but it gets to a point when you realise you have to cut your losses,’ she said.

Belinda recently told Daily Mail Australia she was trying to keep herself distracted following their mutual decision to split.
‘I have been keeping busy, seeing my friends and family. I am always focusing on the positives, as I am a naturally positive person,’ she said.
The last time the couple were seen together on Patrick’s social media was on June 9, in photos and videos showing them having a stroll in a park.
