São Paulo government extends current quarantine rules until July 15

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The São Paulo government announced Wednesday that it would extend pandemic control restrictions in effect until June 30 until July 15. The state is currently in the so-called “transition phase” of the São Paulo plan.

The decision was made following an increase in the number of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths from Covid-19, according to Governor João Doria (PSDB). The recommendation was made by the Covid-19 Contingency Center.
